Description
This position is a highly responsible, administrative civilian position focused on the position control validation and determining compensation in accordance with general order. These functions, include but are not limited to the following: position and compensation entries for new hires, transfers, terminations, retirements, promotions, and reorganizations, and any other activity which requires a payroll change. In conjunction with position and compensation changes this position is responsible for creating, distributing and tracking for all personnel action forms. This position is responsible for the compliance with FDLE auditing for all new hires and annual incentive pay reviews. Ordering office supplies for the department and processing check requests and purchase orders. Reviews required new hire paperwork for accuracy including I-9 Completion and E-verify. Reviews and approves finger print results for CJIS Security Clearance responses. Requires strong written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills, as considerable interaction with PSO personnel and outside professionals is required. The employee must be able to apply and explain agency policy, relating to the functions of the assigned Division and appropriate laws, rules, regulations, and procedures. Duties require the exercise of considerable initiative and independent judgment in ensuring that tasks are completed with a high degree of accuracy and on a time basis. EOE/ADA
Requirements
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSES
Associates Degree from an accredited college and two years of experience performing Human Resources, Finance or Administration related duties required. High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma and a minimum of four years’ experience performing Human Resources, Finance or Administration related duties may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience in a public-sector environment and compensation experience preferred. Experience operating a computer with various Microsoft software, including but not limited to Excel, Power Point and Office XP required. SHRM CP/PHR preferred. This position must maintain a Valid Florida Driver’s License at all times. Unescorted CJIS clearance as authorized by FDLE is required.
