Position Summary
The position will be responsible for performing all human resources, payroll and benefits functions for the Institute.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Professional or university accounting experience. Possesses excellent communication and analytical skills (both verbal and written), proficiency with Excel, have excellent planning and organizational skills, work well as part of team. Attention to detail and interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in order to interact with a variety of personalities at all levels, exercising tact, confidentiality, sound judgment, diplomacy, and flexibility to promote positive working relationships and job effectiveness. Ability to work independently.

Duties/Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities
Monitor and assist managers/supervisors with hiring processes - develop job descriptions, screen resumes and job applications, schedule candidate interviews, follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process, and offer processing.

Create and publish job ads in various portals, news outlets, online media
Verifies the applicant flows through UGAJobs and USG Connect - coordinate applicant drug screens and other needed paperwork. Conduct reference checks and social security number verification.
Percentage of time 35 Duties/Responsibilities
Prepares and enters payroll changes to update employee information including T&A Approver, Salary/Fringe distribution, Terminations, Retirements, Short Work Breaks, Supplemental pay requests, etc.

Manages all Employee Relations (ER) issues. Offers basic to advanced level ER assistance and support to employees, managers and supervisors. Conducts reviews, investigations and gathers information, facts and follows up as needed to assist with ER matters.
