Current Opportunity
The successful candidate will join Sanjel’s Human Resources team, reporting directly to the HR Manager. The Human Resources Generalist will be the HR Manager’s right hand, taking responsibility for the administration of Sanjel’s policies and procedures, supporting employees within the organization in a variety of ways.
This position is based out of Sanjel’s head office, located in downtown Calgary, with the option to work remotely one day per week.
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Support Sanjel benefits administration and disability management, assisting with organizational and individual compliance with HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist with full-cycle recruitment; including employment contracts, post-offer candidate tracking, offer acceptance, pre-employment testing, onboarding, etc.
- Prepare a variety of monthly and annual reports for the organization.
- Assist with day-to-day HR administrative tasks and requests.
- Work closely with Sanjel’s Payroll Team.
- Maintain a current working knowledge of developments in applicable legislation and best practices relating to employment law and human rights.
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry into the new human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance
Qualifications
- Diploma in Human Resources or comparable experience.
- Minimum of two years Human Resources experience, preferably within oilfield services.
- Able to effectively prioritize and respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Experience working with contracts requiring attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Power BI).
- Knowledge of Employment Standards and Human Resources legislation.
