We are seeking a highly-organized, detail-oriented, passionate leader to join our HR department. The HR Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of the organization’s HR function. Primary areas of focus include leading talent attraction, retention and development initiatives, oversight of payroll administration, management of employment policies programs, agency compliance and benefits. The HR Manager implements “people” processes and procedures that help achieve Hidden Creek business goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment Management: Leads the recruitment and onboarding of all new employees, including H-2B Visa program, that align with our core values and support our continuous growth.
Employee Retention/Training/Engagement: Develops and implements employee retention and training programs that foster employee engagement and top place to work.
Payroll Oversight: Manages payroll in an accurate and timely manner to ensure employee satisfaction.
HR Compliance Management: Provides HR guidance to help peers navigate their relationships with their employees and ensure we are leading with intent and in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
Benefit Oversight: Acts as a liaison between company and benefit vendors and identifies additional benefits that would support the betterment of our people.
Provides leadership and guidance to the HR Generalist/Assistant, agrees upon priorities and establishes clear expectations for performance outcomes and behavior and provides feedback on results.
Serves as a role model to organization, through the demonstration of a high level of personal ethics, positive mindset, good will, proactive guidance, and active listening techniques.
Serves as a trusted advisor to the workforce and leadership team. Serves as a conduit to the workforce and responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs from all levels of the organization. Provides expertise on diverse range of employment matters and partners with them to develop and implement timely and appropriate solutions.
Requirements
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- Strong human resources, customer service, leadership and teamwork skills.
- High degree of professionalism, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior presentation and public speaking skills
- SHRM or SPHR Certification
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related area.
- Minimum 3 years prior supervisory experience overseeing employees and HR functions.
- Minimum 5 years progressive human resources experience required including: employment, recruitment, hiring, policy administration, comp & benefits, performance management, training, onboarding, retention, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel experience desired.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Preferred
- Bi-lingual (Spanish)
- Construction industry and/or Landscaping Industry experience
- Experience with H-2B Visa Program
