A leading academic healthcare organization in Northern New Jersey is seeking an experienced Administrator of Compensation to support the administration and delivery of compensationprograms across the organization.
This role partners with HR leadership and operational leaders to ensure compensation programs remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
• Manage compensation programs, policies, and procedures
• Conduct compensation reviews, market analysis, and salary benchmarking
• Oversee job classification and position control processes
• Support implementation of union wage programs and compensation changes
• Maintain job description library and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Supervise compensation staff and support day-to-day compensation operations
• Assist with collective bargaining efforts by analyzing compensation data and supporting negotiations
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of compensation experience, including experience in compensation administration and labor relations
• Experience working in unionized healthcare, public-sector, or academic environments preferred
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with compensation systems such as Oracle or similar HRIS platforms preferred
Salary Range (New Jersey Pay Transparency)
$105,000 – $115,000 annually
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, education, internal equity, and market data.
