Job Summary:
The HR Generalist will report directly to the Director, Human Resources and will be responsible for interviewing a variety of positions throughout the organization and performing new employee orientation as well as performing various Human Resources tasks such as benefits processing, background checks, maintaining job descriptions, employee records and preparing for weekly meetings.
Essential Functions:
Talent Acquisition
- Process job requisitions, post positions
- Provide weekly updates on status of open positions
- Screen and interview applicants
- Provide top recommended applicants to hiring manager
- Coordinate with Director, HR for salary recommendation
- Extend verbal and written contingent job offers
- Coordinate relocation reimbursements
- Coordinate background checks
Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
- Support Performance Management process by creating process and maintaining changes
- Create and process Personnel Action Notices
- Assist with All Staff functions/activities (Staff Retreat/Christmas)
Employee Onboard/Exit
- Ensure proper office set up and supplies ordered
- Coordinate with hiring manager to determine preferred recruiting process
- Perform new employee orientation
- Ensure proper data entry to various HR systems
- Remove access for termed employees
- Back up Administrative Assistant for benefits administration
Benefits Administration
- Coordinate enrollment and ensure appropriate information sent to payroll
- Process 403b enrollment, changes and loans
- Assist employees with basic benefits questions
- Assist with Open Enrollment process
- Provide back up support to Administrative Assistant
HR Compliance
- Administer FMLA
- File EEO-FCC Report
- Process Workers Comp claims and maintain files
- Complete OSHA reporting
Demonstrated Faith
- Pray for coworkers in team meetings
- Lead prayer in large group settings as needed
- Pray for donors when called upon to do so
- Use Christian principles to work through conflict as outlined by the Culture tool kit
- Participate in Sharathon, PowerDrive and Thankathon, and pray for donors over the phone as needed
- Participate in ministry wide Christian bible studies
- Attend weekly Staff Gatherings for prayer and devotions

Requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, with some college or HR relevant training
SHRM certification, preferred
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Creative and enthusiastic, team player
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Effective writing skills and excellent grammatical usage and style
- High degree of confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Google tool applications
