Description
The Director of Certification & Credentialing will serve as the primary architect overseeing the design, preparation, and delivery of credentialing programs that align with effective performance standards; provide fair, valid, and reliable assessments for those who work in and around load handling equipment, while ensuring programs meet the standards with ANAB/ISO 17024. The Director provides strategic and operational leadership for CCO Programs of high-volume and high-stakes professional credentials. The Director will exhibit strong project management skills to develop and grow the 16 programs and 30 credentials including sufficient Subject Matter Experts (SME) support to deliver high quality content. In addition, demonstrated servant-leadership attributes requiring a deep respect for "blue-collar" vocations.
Key Leadership Responsibilities:
Accreditation Stewardship: Serves as Key Stakeholder with ANAB/ISO 17024 accreditation lifecycle and provide operational leadership to ensure compliance and effective credentials.
Strategic Project Leadership: Direct the "end-to-end" lifecycle of credentialing projects, including Job Task Analysis (JTA) in conjunction with psychometricians, item writing, and standard-setting studies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with SME’s from industry fields.
Team Mentorship: Lead a diverse team of Exam Developers and Psychometric team using a servant-leader philosophy, removing roadblocks and prioritizing the professional growth of staff.
Industry Focus/SME: Represent the organization within the credentialing community, leveraging membership resources, research, and networking to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices

Ensure the smooth and proper functioning of current programs.
Assess and manage program risks.
Suggest innovative plans and processes to improve program function.
Develop work systems and processes that effectively drive productivity.
Suggest and help create marketing initiatives to increase awareness of the programs.
Set goals for the programs and track progress, setbacks, and overall performance.
Track, record, and compile program performance data.
Prepare and maintain budget
Ensure programs always support and advance the organization’s mission.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Education and/or Experience:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Education, Engineering, Business Administration, or a technical trade field.
- Accreditation Expertise: Minimum 7+ years of experience managing ANAB (ISO/IEC 17024) or NCCA accredited programs.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Trade Connection: A demonstrated "blue-collar" connection.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multi-year certification development projects. PMP certification is highly preferred.
- Servant Leadership: Evidence of a leadership style focused on the success of the collective team rather than top-down authority
- Psychometric Literacy: Deep understanding of validity, reliability, and legally defensible exam development.
- High-Stakes Focus: Experience managing credentials where "failure is not an option".
- Communication: Ability to shift tone from a boardroom presentation with PhDs to a toolbox talk with field technicians.
- Proficient using Microsoft Suite.
