What We Are Seeking
We are seeking a Director of Workers Compensation to join our growing team. This subject matter expert will have progressive experience with Workers Compensation, and a deep knowledge of NCCI, Independent Bureau Loss Costs and state-specific rate, rule and form filing requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with Large Deductible and Dividend Plans as well as advanced analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to clearly communicate complex findings. Familiarity with statistical reporting and financial data calls is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of Workers’ Compensation strategies, delivering clear, data-driven recommendations to internal stakeholders and senior-level clients.
- Direct the development and submission of rate, rule and form filings, while partnering with actuarial and regulatory teams to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely submissions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting complex analyses and guiding high-stakes discussions with carriers, regulators and legal counsel.
- Maintain expert knowledge of Workers Compensation trends, NCCI and Independent Bureau Loss Cost, regulatory updates, legislative changes and industry best practices.
- Mentor junior consultants and lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver complex, high-impact projects.
- Leverage advanced analytical tools (Excel, Access, SQL) to interpret data, troubleshoot complex issues, and support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure operational excellence through strong organization, attention to detail, and effective use of platforms such as SERFF, Wrike, APCIA, Wolters Kluwer and IRMI.
Minimum Requirements
- Some College / No Degree
- Minimum of 5 years of Workers Compensation / Compliance experience, preferably with a Property & Casualty insurance carrier
