We are hiring an HR Director to oversee and execute all core HR functions across a multi-location organization, including employee relations, compliance, compensation, benefits, and HR operations. This role is best suited for a highly experienced, hands-on HR leader with full-cycle corporate recruiting experience who can bring structure, consistency, and sound judgment to a complex environment.

POSITION SUMMARY: |
This position is responsible for the oversight, execution, and continuous improvement of all human resources functions, including employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation administration, benefits administration, and HR operations from a Corporate perspective in a multi-unit HR environment. The HR Director owns the day-to-day HR function, supervises the Corporate and field HR team, and partners closely with executive leadership to support organizational effectiveness, risk management, and workforce stability. Assists management in evaluation of organizational initiatives and their impact on people, culture, compliance, and operating practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Oversees and executes all core human resources functions, ensuring policies, practices, and processes are consistently applied and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
- Serves as the primary owner of recruitment, benefit programs, employee relations, including performance management, corrective action, investigations, and resolution of workplace issues.
- Develops, maintains, and enforces employee policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, and related requirements.
- Manages and owns recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes to support organizational needs and reduce unwanted turnover.
- Oversees and administers compensation programs, including job leveling, pay practices, and annual compensation processes, in partnership with executive leadership.
- Manages benefits administration and annual renewals in coordination with the CFO and external benefits broker.
- Partners with the CFO and insurance broker on organizational risk management activities, including workers' compensation, D&O, EPLI, and related claims coordination and exposure mitigation.
- Participates in claims management, incident review, and policy compliance efforts to reduce organizational risk and support timely resolution.
- Supports leadership in driving organizational change initiatives and culture reset efforts in a politicized and change-fatigued environment.
- Oversees HR reporting and metrics related to turnover, headcount, compliance, and workforce trends.
- Maintains effective communication channels across all levels of the organization and acts as a trusted, pragmatic resource for leaders and employees.
- Directly supervises HR employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Leads or supports special projects related to organizational effectiveness, compliance improvements, and operational discipline.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES |
Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Generalist & Facilities Coordinator, with responsibility for oversight of HR operations across multiple locations.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS |
- A combination of relevant experience and education will be considered; a BS or BA degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM) are a plus.
- Seven plus years of progressive human resources leadership experience in a corporate environment. Demonstrated hands-on experience across companywide, compliance, recruiting, compensation, and benefits administration.
- Must have managed and supervised HR professional roles.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements
- Experience partnering with executive leadership on sensitive personnel and organizational matters
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP experience a plus)
- Proven ability to operate effectively in dynamic environment
- Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential matters
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence without excessive escalation
- Initiative and ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with leadership
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain operational discipline
- Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and execution skills
- Must have been the senior corporate human resources person in a prior organization with the hands-on role in most HR disciplines.
- Ability to discern best business practices and execute accordingly.

Salary range for the Human Resources Director position is $115,000-$135,000 annually, based on education and prior experience.
