Why This Role Matters
As our HR Generalist, you’ll be the trusted partner and primary liaison between assigned departments and our Human Resources & Risk Management team. You’ll guide leaders and employees through:
Recruitment & hiring strategy
Compliance with employment laws and policies
Internal investigations and confidential personnel matters
Employee training and development
Best practices and process improvement initiatives
Your expertise will directly impact the employee experience across multiple county departments, helping ensure fairness, accountability, and excellence in public service.
Position Details
Status: Full-time, exempt, benefited
Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday | 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Starting Salary Range: $62,940 - $64,854 annually
What You Bring
Minimum Qualifications
3–5 years of HR or related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Valid driver’s license
Clear criminal history
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
Experience supporting multiple departments and diverse hiring needs
Experience conducting investigations and managing confidential personnel matters
Public sector or government HR experience
HRIS system experience
