Overview
Velociti Services is seeking a hands-on HR Business Partner to support our operations teams and hourly workforce in Atlanta. This role is a key strategic partner to site and regional leadership, balancing employee advocacy with business needs while ensuring compliance, consistency, and a positive employee experience.
We're looking for a proactive HR professional with experience supporting hourly/frontline teams—ideally in a unionized environment—who thrives in a fast-paced, operations-driven setting.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor to site and regional leadership on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Handle employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support and administer collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), including grievance handling and union interactions.
- Represent the company in unemployment hearings and handle employment verification requests.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, etc.).
- Coach managers on performance management, progressive discipline, and employee development.
- Assist with succession planning and internal talent movement.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation, and analyze HR trends related to turnover, absenteeism, and engagement.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, HRIS) to resolve employee issues efficiently.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 35+ years of HR experience supporting hourly or frontline employees.
- Strong employee relations skills, including investigations and performance management.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Ability to work fully in-office in Atlanta, GA.
Preferred:
- Experience with unionized environments and CBAs.
- HR experience in facilities services, janitorial, aviation, manufacturing, logistics, or similar industries.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
