Description
Cancer Specialists of North Florida is recruiting for an experienced Human Resources Generalist for our busy Specialty Practice. The Human Resources Generalist delivers professional HR support company-wide and works with the HR Manager to ensure efficient HR operations. This role provides support across key HR areas, including updating policies and procedures, benefits administration, employee relations, training management, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and recruitment.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews HR policies and practices to ensure adherence to legal requirements and best practices
- Assists the recruiter with recruiting, interviewing, pre-employment testing, background checks, and hiring of qualified candidates
- Assists with onboarding new hires and leads new hire orientation programs
- Performs core human resources functions, including compensation, benefits, leave administration, and performance management
- Manages and tracks FMLA and other leaves of absence
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training requirements
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations, as needed
- Creates and files required reports, such as Workers’ Compensation First Reports of Injury and EEO-1s
- Maintains knowledge of HR trends, regulatory changes, employment law updates, and HR technologies
- Works with HR Manager on HR projects as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- 2-5 years of human resource management experience preferred
- Must obtain SHRM-CP within first year of employment
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- SHRM-CP Certification preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications
