Retreat Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team remotely, providing crucial support through our Hospice Center based in Topeka, Kansas. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to advocate for and empower individuals and families, assisting them in navigating some of life's most challenging circumstances. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring you remain connected to our team and the community we serve. Although regular business hours from Monday to Friday are the standard, you may occasionally need to work evenings or weekends for special events or programs designed to enhance community outreach and service delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' social, emotional, and psychological needs, using evidence-based instruments to gather valuable insights into their situations.
• Provide tailored counseling services, both individually and in group settings, utilizing specialized therapeutic approaches to foster healing and personal growth.
• Work collaboratively to create and implement individualized service plans, ensuring that clients' goals and objectives are met with measurable outcomes.
• Actively advocate for your clients' rights and access to essential resources—bridging the gap between their needs and available community services.
• Contribute to the development of new programs while evaluating existing services, ensuring efficacy and alignment with organizational mission and community needs.
• Engage in partnership initiatives with community organizations, government agencies, and volunteers to enhance the breadth and impact of services offered.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and outreach activities aimed at increasing awareness and education about social issues relevant to our clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will include individuals and families dealing with complex emotional and social challenges, often exacerbated by circumstances related to end-of-life care. You will play a critical role in providing them the support they need during potentially difficult transitions, ensuring their dignity and quality of life are prioritized. By employing trauma-informed care practices, you will foster a compassionate environment that promotes healing and empowerment.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
• Active and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A robust understanding of the principles of social justice, trauma-informed care, and community resources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to empathize and build rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple client cases effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Relevant experience working within a nonprofit organization or a similar setting focused on community health or social services.
• A history of working with vulnerable populations and understanding their unique challenges and barriers.
• Knowledge of local resources and connections within the Topeka community to benefit clients.

Compensation and Benefits
