Summary of Position:
The Human Resources Generalist will perform HR related duties on a professional and administrative level. The Human Resources Generalist will primarily be responsible for all talent acquisition, onboarding, HRIS, benefits administration and terminations. This position also contributes with performance management, employee relations, policy implementation, corporate compliance, and support efforts to maintain company culture.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
- Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
- Consult and collaborate with managers/directors to identify and understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s).
- Compose detailed, accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the company.
- Develop creative recruitment solutions which may include proactive networking, database mining, sourcing on industry or educational specific websites, as well as identifying new sourcing channels.
- Collect and analyze data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability, and demand for candidates in particular fields.
- Track all permanent job postings through job boards and screen resumes to send to hiring manager. For difficult positions, assist with interviewing prospective candidates.
- Conduct phone interviews and face to face interviews for candidates when needed.
- Act as liaison between staffing agencies and hiring managers/directors to fill temporary to permanent hire roles, while ensuring constant contact and communication.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws, regulations and compliance requirements.
- Manage and deliver flawless on-boarding process including communication with new hire, completion of all necessary documents in HRIS, benefits enrollment, process background check and other compliance requirements.
HRIS:
- Develop and implement the new recruitment module, process improvements, content and communications as needed.
- Maintain HRIS personnel records and compiles reports from the system as needed.
- Assist with maintenance of all HR processes and documentation on HRIS system.
- Stay current on all system enhancements and releases.
Benefits Administration:
- Ensure all new hire benefit enrollments and employee benefit changes are completed timely.
- Perform monthly auditing and cross-check invoices for all benefits companies and vendors to ensure accuracy.
Terminations:
- Create all separation documents for terminating employees.
- Ensure all separation transactions are performed timely.
- Submit mandated NJ Unemployment information based on guidelines.
Additional HR Duties:
- Provide HR support to employees and managers/directors.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the HR Director and Senior Human Resources Generalist.
- Handle worker’s compensation incidents and communication with affected employee.
- Respond to human resources-related inquiries via phone and email.
- Process employment verifications based on company policy.
- Responsible for employee recognition/anniversary program and preparing all necessary materials, such as envelopes and letters to send out to the managers at the beginning of each month.
- Assist with coordination of annual open enrollment.
- Assist in preparing communication, such as poster, flyers and documents for all locations.
- Assist with project management activities/meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Requires an Associate’s degree in Human Resources or another related field.
- Requires four years of HR Generalist experience with at least two years of hands-on managing all phases of electronic recruitment and onboarding, HRIS and benefits administration.
- Demonstrated fluency with social media and job boards, particularly in researching and recruiting candidates through Indeed required.
- Demonstrated experience with HRIS required, preferably UKG Ready/Kronos.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, state and federal legislation related to employment practices and general HR administration.
- Exemplary organization, communication, project, and prioritization skills.
- Exhibit sound analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with emphasis on diplomacy in dealing with sensitive employee issues and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Highly proficient with HRIS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and ability to learn new technology platforms.
- Must travel to all company locations when needed.
